From July 15 to 16, the 6th session of Jiwei Semiconductor Summit 2022 was held in Xiamen. The event accommodated alumni forums of 20 universities, and witnessed the signing ceremony of the Xiamen Integrated Circuit Research Institute of Wuhan University. Many industrial parks introduced their policies and layout for the local integrated circuit industry. As a one-hundred-billion industrial chain heavily invested by Xiamen, the development of the integrated circuit industry has been highly valued by the Xiamen government. At present, an industrial chain covering integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaged testing, equipment, material, and application has taken shape. Three integrated circuit clusters have been formed, namely the Torch High-tech Zone, the Haicang Taiwan Investment Zone, and the Huli Free Trade Zone. Xiamen has successively announced a series of preferential and supporting policies to facilitate the development of semiconductors, especially third-generation semiconductors. Now the city owns a complete industrial chain of integrated circuits covering chip design, wafer manufacturing, third-generation semiconductor materials, and packaged testing.
