In the first half of this year, Xiamen witnessed an import and export volume of 444.32 billion yuan, up by 8.3% YOY and hitting a new high. In the first half of the year, the top three trade partners of Xiamen are ASEAN with an import and export volume amount of 84.57 billion yuan; the USA with an import and export volume amount of 65.77 billion yuan; and European Union with an import and export volume amount of 51.12 billion yuan. The amount of import and export volume from and to the nations along the "Belt and Road" Initiative reached 151.88 billion yuan, up by 16.7% YOY. The amount of import and export volume from and to BRICS nations reached 38.42 billion yuan, up by 20.4% YOY. The export of electromechanical products of Xiamen in the first half of the year amounted to 97.54 billion yuan, which was a large value and accounted for 43.2% of the total amount of export.
