On June 28, Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau and Xiamen Light Industry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and concurrently held the inauguration ceremony of the Future Industry Sub-park (Light Industry) of Xiamen Science and Technology Park. This move marks a watershed milestone in the transformation and upgrade of technologically empowered state-owned enterprises in Xiamen. Focusing on new materials, new energy, smart manufacturing, and other emerging industries, the Park will strive to attract a handful of projects featuring "high technological capability, high development potential, and high added value". On June 28, the Future Industry Sub-park (Light Industry) of Xiamen Science and Technology Park witnessed the contract signing by the representatives of the first batch of enterprises settled in it.
