Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officially approved Xiamen to build a special channel for Internet data. As Fujian's first high-speed channel directly linking to the international communication gateway of China, this special channel was built by following the "1+2+N" mode for the first time, in which all municipal regions submit applications collectively and multiple parks are covered around the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Xiamen National Torch High Tech Zone. This channel can significantly improve the communication service capability of Xiamen in international financial service, cross-border e-commerce, cross-border logistics, multinational manufacturing, and international cultural exchanges, and provide powerful support for enterprises to attract premium international capitals, expand the global market, and accelerate the pace of globalization. It also serves the purpose of building Xiamen into a highly visually attractive and modernized city.
