As a part of the national key development strategy, the integrated circuit industry has received high attention from the Xiamen government. During the "Thirteenth Five-year Plan", Xiamen's integrated circuit industry has achieved frog-leap development, and Xiamen has become a major city for national planning and layout of the integrated circuit industry. At present, the IC industry of Xiamen is expanding its scale and completing its industrial chain. In 2021, it achieved a production output of 30.88 billion yuan, up by 16.3%. From January to March 2022, it achieved an output of 9.74 billion yuan, up by 26.5%. Xiamen has preliminarily formed an industrial chain covering integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, equipment and materials, and application. It now boasts 91 related enterprises above the designated scale, topping the province. Xiamen has owned the complete industrial chain of integrated circuits covering chip design, wafer manufacturing, third-generation semi-conductor materials, and package test, remarkably highlighting the advantages in industrial development.
