According to the average time-in-port and time-in-berth report of international container ships on the main ocean-going trunk lines at the world's major ports in 2021 released by Shanghai Shipping Exchange, Xiamen ranks 3rd and 4th positions respectively in terms of the comprehensive efficiency and the loading/unloading efficiency, represented by 1.35 days of time-in-port and 1.05 days of time-in-berth. The shorter the time in berth and port, the higher the efficiency. In recent years, Xiamen has kept optimizing the production scheduling in the port, improving on-site transportation efficiency, reducing the waiting time of vessels and increasing the turnover efficiency. The intelligent platform has been used to dramatically shorten the time of examination and approval, thus significantly speeding up the pace of comprehensive services.
