On the morning of April 19, a on-line groundbreaking ceremony was held featuring dozens of major projects to begin construction during the second quarter in the province, including 29 projects in Xiamen. The total investment of the 29 project topped 21.4 billion yuan, and the annual planned investment hit 4.2 billion yuan. These projects cover the fields such as industry, infrastructure, and social and people's livelihood. Among them, there are 13 industrial projects with a total investment of 10.2 billion yuan; 10 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 8.6 billion yuan; and 6 social undertaking projects with a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan. As a representative project of Xiamen, the North Area Project of Xiamen Bio Bay Medical Health Co., Ltd. participated in the ceremony. Xiamen's key projects achieved a "good start" in the first quarter. With a planned investment of 31.76 billion yuan from January to March, there was actually 51.22 billion yuan invested in the city's 419 key projects, overfulfilling the investment task.
