Considering that April 26 is the "World Intellectual Property Day", Xiamen released Development of Intellectual Property in Xiamen in 2021 on April 19. In 2021, Xiamen promoted the transformation of intellectual property work from the pursuit of a high quantity to the improvement of quality. The number of invention patents per 10,000 people in Xiamen reached 37.87 in 2021, ranking first in the province. Among them, high-value invention patents accounted for 45.4% of the total number of valid invention patents. 25 high-value patent portfolios were cultivated in key industries such as new materials, biomedicine, and software information, involving 3,100 invention patents and 380 PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) applications. In the past year, a number of departments have taken actions to crack down on intellectual property infringement and the production and sale of counterfeit and shoddy goods to continuously optimize the intellectual property protection environment in Xiamen.
