Recently, Xiamen released the Xiamen Action Plan for Fostering and Creating An International Consumption Hub City, aiming to build a new regionally featured landmark for international consumption. According to the recent monitoring of Win Data, Xiamen keeps expanding its scale of retail business, which is expected to reach a new peak this year in terms of scale and quality. This year, Xiamen plans to open ten shopping malls, each of which has an area of more than 30,000sqm. The total area will exceed 850,000sqm, leading Fujian province in the expansion speed. Data shows that Xiamen reached a new milestone of RMB 3 trillion in the wholesales and retail sales business, and exceeded RMB 250 billion in the total retail sales of consumer goods.
