According to the Three-year Action Plan for the Development of the Metaverse Industry 2022–2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan) that was released recently, before 2024, Xiamen will strive to knock the metaverse industry into shape, introduce and incubate a handful of metaverse enterprises holding key technologies with a revenue of over a hundred million yuan, harvest significant progress in the research, development, application, and promotion of metaverse technologies, and further its steering role in government governance, civil services, and industrial transformation and upgrade. The Plan outlines actions in five key sectors including fundamental research and development, scene application, enterprise development, industrial ecosystem, and supervision and governance.
