Recently, the Ministry of Commerce announced the "Second List of National TCM Service Export Bases", on which Xiamen TCM Hospital secured its place, making it Fujian's first national TCM service export base. A TCM service export base is a TCM enterprise or public institution featuring the export of TCM healthcare, education & training, scientific research, industrial, and cultural services. Xiamen has a history of valuing the innovative development of service trades as well as the construction of characteristic service export bases including the export of TCM services. This enrollment of Xiamen TCM Hospital marks the third professional characteristic service export base crowned on Xiamen following the national culture export base and the national digital service export base. In 2021, Xiamen registered an import and export amount of service trade up to RMB 65.53 billion, up by 38.3% over the previous year and exceeding the state-wide growth rate by 22.2%.
