On March 8, 2022, the Aliexpress Fujian Merchant Operation Center ("Aliexpress" for short) was officially settled in Xiamen. Relying on this largest cross-border retail e-commerce platform in China, more homemade products will "go global" and be "sold to the globe" from Xiamen at a faster pace. Marking another fruitful achievement of the deepened strategic partnership between Xiamen and Alibaba and an important measure of Xiamen Free Trade Zone to actively promote the construction of a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot area, the settlement of Aliexpress in Xiamen intends to exert the policy benefits of RCEP, encourage enterprises to deploy overseas warehouses in critical regions across the globe, and perfect the industrial chain and the ecosystem of the cross-border e-commerce industry. The year 2021 saw the official launch of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service platform by Xiamen Free Trade Zone. In 2021, Xiamen witnessed an import and export amount of 8.55 billion yuan on the cross-border e-commerce platform, with a YOY increase of 207%. Nearly 26 million packages were imported and exported.
