The output value of Xiamen's new material industry reached 107.414 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 17.89% in 2021. At present, there are 189 government-recognized new material enterprises covering such sectors as special metals and alloy materials, advanced polymer materials, advanced inorganic non-metallic materials, high-performance fiber products and composite materials, and cutting-edge new materials. Among all the growing enterprises in the industry, representative enterprises of advanced base materials registered an increase of over 20% in 2021 while enterprises of key strategic materials, represented by Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd. and XTC New Energy Materials (Xiamen) Co., Ltd., registered an increase of over 60%. Based on sufficient investigations, Xiamen will perfect the first batch of policies for the new material industry this year, and strive to exceed 110 billion yuan in terms of the output value of the new material industry.
