The Torch High Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology recently announced the result of the comprehensive evaluation for high-tech zones throughout the nation, in which Xiamen Torch High Tech Zone ranks 14 among all the 157 high tech zones in China, up by 2 positions over that in 2020. As one of the tier-one cities in the ranking, Xiamen witnessed its all-time best result. Serving as the main ground for the high-quality industrial development of Xiamen, the Torch High Tech Zone implements the innovation-driven development strategy and performs notably in digital economy transformation, opening and innovation capability, and innovative economic development.
