Of which, the export volume was 430.73 billion yuan, with an increase of 20.6%; the import volume was 456.92 billion yuan, with an increase of 35.3%; the foreign trade growth in Xiamen contributed 44.3% to the foreign trade growth in Fujian Province. In 2021, Xiamen's import and export to the top three trading partners (ASEAN, U.S., and EU) reached 162.93 billion yuan, 113.29 billion yuan, and 98.28 billion yuan respectively, with an increase of 25.2%, 25.7%, and 27.6% respectively. During the same period, Xiamen's import and export to the countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP members increased by 28.7% and 22% respectively. The dominant position of private enterprises is more prominent. In 2021, the import-export volume of private enterprises in Xiamen reached 324.87 billion yuan, with a yearly increase of 37.7%. It accounted for 36.6% of the total foreign trade, up 2.6% year on year. The import-export volume of mechanical and electrical products went up steadily. In 2021, the export volume of such products in Xiamen reached 191.68 billion yuan, with an increase of 14.6%.
