Xiamen Port opens first new ship route of 2022

On January 10, the fully-loaded Chinese container ship Xin Ming Zhou 98 left the Haitian Port for the ports of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) nations, marking the initial launch of a new ship route this year. Berthed at ports of RCEP nations such as China, Vietnam, and Thailand, this new route is also a new route of the "Marine Silk Road". In 2021, the container throughput of Xiamen exceeded 12 million TEUs, and has ranked top in the national business environment assessment of container ports for the third consecutive year. Next, the Silk Road Maritime will exert its advantages of more than 250 members to build a logistic channel of "RCEP + Marine Silk Road" and boost the high-quality development of Xiamen Port.
