On the morning of December 19, Xiamen held the ceremony for collective groundbreaking, completion, and signing of major projects to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Xiamen Special Economic Zone. In the ceremony, 40 projects were inaugurated and completed with a total investment of 68.7 billion yuan, including 22 projects inaugurated with a total investment of 49.4 billion yuan and 18 completed with a total investment of 19.3 billion yuan. A total of 40 projects were signed with a total investment of more than 130 billion yuan, covering panel displays, integrated circuits, computer and communication devices, new energy and new materials, technological research and development, modern logistics, supply chain, financial service, cultural innovation, environmental protection, etc. Featuring a wide investment range and a large investment scale, the projects signed in the ceremony are distributed throughout all the six districts of the city to deliver sound social benefits and play a strong steering role. The event embodies the strategic deployment of Xiamen to highlight cross-island development, emphasize industrial layout, and focus on people's livelihood.
