Xiamen International Marathon
Since 2003, Xiamen International Marathon has been held annually for fourteen years. It is deemed as IAAF Gold Label Road Race for consecutively eight years. Every January, the first medal of marathon race around the world is awarded here. The race has become a golden name card of Xiamen, showing its splendor to the whole world.

China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT)
The China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place in September every year in Xiamen, China. Themed on "Introducing FDI" and "Going Global", CIFIT focuses on nationality and internationality, investment negotiation and investment policy promotion, coordinated development of national and regional economy, as well as economic and trade exchanges across the Taiwan Strait.
CIFIT is currently China's only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilateral investment. It's also the largest global investment event approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. CIFIT has the following major components: investment and trade exhibition, the International Investment Forum (IIF), a series of seminars on hot investment issues, and investment project matchmaking symposia.

Xiamen International Industrial Exposition
The Xiamen International Industrial Exposition (XMIE), also known as China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition (CXMEE), exclusively authorized by China's Ministry of Commerce, is jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products, Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, and Xiamen Municipal People's Government. It is staged in Xiamen every year in April.
XMIE(CXMEE) was set up in 1997. Thanks to the strong support and proactive involvement of the business communities from both sides of the Taiwan Straits over the past 19 years, XMIE(CXMEE) has evolved into the largest and most influential economic and trade exchange event across the Taiwan Straits, and the largest industrial exhibition in the West Coast Economic Zone.
As an integration, upgrading, and extension of China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition, XMIE has been growing into the largest exhibition of machinery and electronics exhibition jointly organized by mainland China and Taiwan, and the largest industry exposition in the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone as well. The 2015 session attracted nearly 1,000 enterprises, with the floor space of 85,000 ㎡, and nearly 4,000 international standard booths, including 800 booked by Taiwan and Taiwan-funded enterprises. In additoin, it received nearly 40,000 trade visitors from 33 countries and regions, such as Taiwan, HK, Macau, UK, US, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Middle East, etc.
XMIE 2017 will be held at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center from April 12 to 15, 2017, with the planned floor space of 100,000 ㎡ and 4,400 international standard booths. There will be a series of specialty areas for machine tools and equipment, industrial robots, 3D printing and automation, industrial molds, rubber and plastics industry, printing equipment and advertising technology, and engineering machinery, etc. In addition, the Expo will explore the latest development in industries and offer a number of high-level specialized forums and pertinent manufacturing events. XMIE will pilot the trends of industry across the Taiwan Straits and is poised to become the premier industrial exhibition in the region.

Cross-Strait (Jimei) Dragon Boat Cultural Festival
Jimei dragon boat racing ("Bielingzhu" in Southern Fujian dialect) has a long history. Mr.Tan Kah Kee made the past serve the present and made foreign things serve China to hold the first dragon boat racing, thus making the dragon boat racing of China transform from a folk sports game to a competitive sport. During the Dragon Boat Festival, neighbouring urban and rural residents come together in the dragon boat pool of Jimei School Village to take part in or watch the dragon boat racing. The Cross-Strait dragon boat racing focuses on promoting Tan Kah Kee spirit, carrying forward Chinese culture, enhancing the exchange between both sides of Taiwan Strait and upgrading the race brand. Now it has become a brand event of Jimei District and the city card of Xiamen City after the elaborated development for many years, as well as an important platform to closely connect people on both sides of Taiwan Strait and enhance the cultural identity of people on both sides of Taiwan Strait.

Xiamen Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake Gambling and Tourism Carnival
In August of lunar calendar every year, Xiamen and neighbouring cities will launch a series of interesting and distinctive activities which focuses on mooncake gambling, which is the folk cultural activity unique in Xiamen. Tourists from all over the world will be invited to enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake Gambling and Tourism Carnival in Xiamen.
