The 13th Straits Forum is scheduled to kick off in Xiamen, Fujian on December 10. Related activities will be launched by municipalities in Fujian and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Area during the Forum Assembly on December 11. Following the theme of "expanding people-to-people exchanges and deepening integrated development", the present organizing committee of the Forum arranges the forum assembly and 41 activities in four sections: youth exchanges, grassroots exchanges, cultural exchanges and economic exchanges, both online and in person, and 15 events will be held during the same period. More than 20 events have been successively held since June, which attracted more than 1,500 Taiwan compatriots, and over 100,000 Taiwan compatriots have participated in online interaction with views of relevant topics exceeding 20 million. A number of agreements will be concluded and signed during the Forum, which is expected to create 1,603 jobs for young Taiwanese jobhunters.
