On September 7, the 2021 BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution was held in Xiamen. Once again, BRICS nations rallied in this Egret Island. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the BRICS cooperation mechanism. The foundation of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center ("BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center") in Xiamen signifies a major move to boost such partnership. Xiamen will focus on policy coordination, talent cultivation, and project development, accelerate the "Eight Ones" program, and build a handful of exemplary platforms and flagship projects with an aim to make BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center a high-caliber and open economic demonstration area for BRICS countries. September 7 marked a signing ceremony for the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center (BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center), with 28 projects signed, realizing an investment amount of RMB 13.4 billion. These 28 projects are about the partnership in new industries and related service sectors, including 5 in software and information, 7 in technical services, 1 in funding, 2 in logistics and transportation, 7 in economy and trade, 5 in industrial services, and 1 in cultural industry. These projects engage businesses in BRICS member countries, including 19 in Russia, 13 in India, 16 in Brazil, and 11 in South Africa.
