In July this year, the import and export value of Xiamen surpassed the 80 billion yuan mark for the first time, reaching 81.29 billion yuan with a YOY increase (the same below) of 30.1%. According to data, ASEAN, the US and EU are the top three trade partners of Xiamen. From January to July, Xiamen's import and export value with ASEAN, the US and EU (27 countries excluding the UK) reached 86.88 billion yuan, 64.6 billion yuan and 53.75 billion yuan respectively, marking an increase of 32%, 35.5%, and 27.5%. These figures accumulatively account for 41.9% of Xiamen's total value of foreign trades. During the same period, the import and export value with RECP countries, Belt and Road countries and BRICS countries reached 171.51 billion yuan, 155.77 billion yuan, and 39.41 billion yuan, up by 24.6%, 32.3%, and 27.5% respectively. In terms of product categories, most exported products are electromechanical products and labor-intensive products, and most imported products are electromechanical products, agricultural products, and iron sand.
