In the first half of this year, Xiamen led the whole province in multiple major indicators of trade, with total retail sales of consumer goods and wholesale and retail growth rate topping the province. This period saw a rise of 28.1% to 141.5 billion yuan in total retail sales of consumer goods and 60.3% to 1.2795 trillion yuan in wholesale and retail sales above designated size in the city. Catering indicators increased significantly. From January to June, Xiamen's full-caliber catering turnover reached 13.204 billion yuan, up 48.5%. Xiamen also kept topping the province in terms of the paid-in investment, which totaled 12.98 billion yuan in the first six months, up 24.9% year-on-year and 33% on average over two years, 15.9 percentage points higher than that in the province. Its total amount accounted for 54.0% of the province, 6.3 percentage points higher than that at the end of last year, maintaining its top size in the province.
