Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently announced 333 key investment promotion projects in 2021, totaling 723.9 billion yuan in investment (RMB, the same below), including 178 projects in six leading industries of electronic information and digital industry, advanced equipment manufacturing, petrochemical industry, modern textile and garment, modern logistics, and tourism, with a total investment of 464.1 billion yuan. Fujian also highlighted high-tech industry in the new key investment promotion projects launched this time. The list showed a total of 54 projects valued 147.7 billion yuan in five emerging industries, including new materials, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, biology and new medicine, and marine high-tech. Among these key investment promotion projects, nine are in Xiamen, such as Xiamen Xiang'an Digital Economy Industrial Park project, Xiamen Electronic Mall • International Innovation Center project, Xiamen Software Park Phase III project, Xiamen New Economy Industrial Park Emerging Industries project, etc.
