On June 22, eight private entrepreneurs, eight private enterprises and eight party-building units of private enterprises from Xiamen City were honored at the Fujian Private Enterprise Development Conference held in Fuzhou. At the signing ceremony, Xiamen signed eight projects worth 33.8 billion yuan, covering industries such as electronic information, biomedical, finance and modern logistics. Private economy in Xiamen accounts for 46.4% of the city's economy, which is an important force to promote the city's high-quality development. Data shows that last year, Xiamen's private economy grew by 9.7%, contributing more than 70% to the city's GDP growth, strongly supporting the steady economic development of Xiamen. In 2020, the added value of above-scale private industries increased by 12.9%, contributing 95.1% to the city's above-scale industries.
