On the morning of June 7, a concentrated construction commenced for major provincial projects of the second quarter via video link. Xiamen saw the commencement of 28 major projects with a total investment of 25.9 billion yuan, covering such fields as industry, infrastructure, and social livelihood. Among them, there are 13 industrial projects comprised mostly of manufacturing, including a number of intelligent manufacturing projects, with a total investment of about 14.2 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 2.3 billion yuan; 10 infrastructure projects with a total investment of about 6.5 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 1.7 billion yuan; and 5 social undertakings projects with a total investment of about 5.2 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 400 million yuan. The Maluan Bay Logistics Functional Zone Phase I Project was involved in the video link of provincial concentrated construction as a representative project of Xiamen. The project invested with 8.02 billion yuan in total mainly includes the construction of key logistics parks such as Deppon (Xiamen) Intelligent Logistics Industrial Park and Xiangyu Southeast Smart Supply Chain Industrial Park, which is the fourth largest logistics park in China. In addition to these 28 major provincial projects, the second quarter will also see the concentrated commencement of 107 municipal projects worth over 20 million yuan in Xiamen, with a total investment of about 36.4 billion yuan. This year, Xiamen has 111 key projects under construction at the provincial level, and has completed an investment of 37.4 billion yuan or 59% of the annual planned investment. For the 30 major projects listed in the provincial concentrated construction of the first quarter, Xiamen has completed an investment of 2.7 billion yuan by the end of May at 49% of the annual planned investment.
