On June 2, Xiamen launched the Xiamen Talent Service Month 2021 to build a platform themed by "recruiting and attracting talents" and "building the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center". A total of 163 talent-themed activities will roll out across the city. The same day also saw the debut of Xiamen Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship No. 1 Fund. The fund was set up with RMB 300 million for talent innovation and entrepreneurship, and backed by RMB 200 million for guarantee to fully facilitate talent entrepreneurship, technological innovation and industrial upgrading. On the site, a ceremony was also held to unveil the BRICS Talent Entrepreneurship Base, which will be open to overseas talents from BRICS countries and foreign talents with BRICS background. The Xiamen BRICS Innovation Base Talent Track and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talents kicked off, witnessing the settlement of the training base for BRICS cross-border e-commerce (free trade zone) talents in Xiamen. Meanwhile, the project of work alliance for attracting talents by alumni associations of famous universities to prosper Xiamen was signed at the ceremony. Xiamen teamed up with six alumni associations of famous universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University to attract more research teams and outstanding students of famous universities, and university-affiliated enterprises and alumni enterprises to develop in Xiamen.
