A few days ago, Xiamen was enrolled on the List of Most Resultful Cities (States) in Stabilized Industrial Growth and Transformation & Upgrade 2020 released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, making it the only city of Fujian province onboard. In 2020, Xiamen realized a scale-level industrial output of RMB 733.658 billion, with an increase of 3.1% in the present price, a scale-level industrial added value of RMB 192.586 billion, with an increase of 6%. Machinery and electronic industries, which are the pillar industries of Xiamen, saw an output of RMB 496.735 billion last year, accounting for 67.7% of Xiamen’s gross industrial output value. In recent years, Xiamen has put its focus on the construction of “6+1” one-hundred-billion-worth industrial chain clusters covering semiconductors and integrated circuits, panel displays, machinery equipment, computers and communication equipment, biomedicine and health, new materials, and software & information service.
