In the morning on April 7, Xiamen University held the 100th Anniversary Global Schoolfellow Investment Attraction Campaign in Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center, during which the “Southern Power to Prosper Xiamen” initiative was launched to call on more schoolfellows to actively invest in Xiamen and bring more resources here. For the purpose of supporting more XMU schoolfellows to start businesses in Xiamen, the city has enacted a series of preferential measures to facilitate their development in Xiamen, which cover six aspects, i.e. creating innovation and startup business clusters for schoolfellows, beefing up the support for schoolfellows in start-up financing, encouraging the establishment of funds to support the investment and business of schoolfellows, special favorable policies for talents, fully coordinated and balanced mechanisms, and services for optimizing investment attraction from schoolfellows. Also, in the campaign were released first 17 innovation and startup parks of XMU schoolfellows, such as Xiamen University National Science Park and Xiamen University Financial Technology Industrial Park, which will provide greater room and more considerate service for the innovation and business startup by XMU schoolfellows. The campaign witnessed a signing ceremony for investment attraction projects of XMU schoolfellows, with a total of 32 projects signed on site, amounting to a total investment of RMB 43.9 billion.
