November 28 witnessed the official groundbreaking of Xiamen Haichen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a 10-billion-yuan key project introduced by Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries. Located in Tongxiang High-tech City, this project will focus on the production of energy storage battery products, with a total investment of 2.7 billion yuan. There are five lithium battery and supporting system production lines planned, with an output value of more than 10 billion yuan after reaching full production capacity. On the same day, four investment institutions signed an investment agreement with Haichen New Energy Company on increase in capital and shares. According to the plan, the battery production line built in Phase I of Haichen New Energy Project will be officially put into production in July next year, when the R&D platform including cutting-edge material laboratory, simulation center, test center, product design center and engineering center will also be officially launched.
