On November 17, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced in his important speech during the 12th BRICS Summit the establishment of a BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center to advance cooperation on policy coordination, personnel training and project development. By providing new opportunities for Xiamen to promote all-round and high-level opening-up, the innovation base will become the strategic theme of the city's international development. On December 8, the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Forum, co-hosted by the Xiamen Municipal Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, will officially launch the construction of the BRICS Innovation Base.
