Nine departments and entities, including the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, jointly decided to set up 10 import trade promotion innovation demonstration zones across the country, one of which is Huli District, Xiamen, Fujian Province. The demonstration zone has two major functions. One is "trade promotion", which is to promote import, industry and consumption; and the other is "trade innovation", namely policy innovation, service innovation and model innovation. In recent years, Huli District has created a number of public service platforms, such as aviation maintenance, integrated circuits, international trade "single window", and supply chain technology creation center, attracting more than 30 of Fortune Global 500 to invest and implement projects. It plays an important role in boosting the in-depth integration of domestic and foreign markets, and accelerating the foreign trade balance and high-quality economic development.
