The 1st Xiamen Entrepreneur Day kicked off on November 1. People from industrial and commercial circles and entrepreneur representatives in Xiamen gathered together with businessmen from home and abroad and entrepreneurs from sister provinces and cities to attend the opening. A decision was adopted by the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress on October 30 to set up November 1 each year as Xiamen Entrepreneur Day. On the spot of the 1st Xiamen Entrepreneur Day, 32 investment projects for private economy were signed with a total investment of RMB 23.2 billion. At the same time, titles including Xiamen's "Leading Backbone Private Enterprises", "Xiamen Cares" construction models, and "Excellent Organizations and Entities for Donation to Fight against COVID-19" were awarded.
