China's first National Regional Medical Center unveiled in Xiamen

On October 22, China's first National Regional Medical Center was unveiled in Xiamen Branch, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. Through selecting several high-quality medical institutions as export hospitals in areas rich in medical resources such as Beijing and Shanghai and building regional medical centers in areas with high patient outflows and relatively weak medical resources, the overall level of medical service in the pilot areas will be improved in a relatively short time. As a pioneering model of cross-provincial medical cooperation around the country, Xiamen Branch, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University was wholly invested and built by Xiamen and then delivered to Shanghai headquarters of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University for full operation and management. Since Xiamen Branch has all the same high-quality medical resources as Shanghai headquarters, people in Xiamen and surrounding areas will have access to high-level and high-quality medical services nearby.
