On the morning of June 10, Hu Changsheng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, had an informal discussion with Liu Jingyu, chairman of China Aviation Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. (CALB), and other entrepreneurs engaged in the field of new energy vehicles to discuss good opportunities for cooperation and expand the cooperation scope.
The new energy vehicle industry is one of the key industries in Xiamen, said Hu Changsheng. In recent years, Xiamen has introduced a number of upstream and downstream enterprises of new energy vehicles, initially forming a new energy industry cluster. Xiamen will also continue to step up efforts in investment promotion and talent attraction in the future.
Hu praised CALB's "new power lithium battery production line project" as a model of cooperation between the two sides. Since the commencement in September last year, the project has achieved a leap from commencement to topping out in just nine months after overcoming the impact of external factors such as COVID-19, which demonstrates the speed of Xiamen special economic zone.
The municipal governmental leaders Huang Wenhui and Lin Jian attended the meeting.
