Xiamen Biomedical Industry Innovation and Development Conference was held on June 7. The meeting announced the industry development goals and priorities, and a series of policies for the city's biomedical industry.
A total of 20 projects were signed into agreement during the event, with a total investment of nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion).
Goals for Xiamen's Biomedical Industry by 2025:
1. Industry output to exceed 150 billion yuan;
2. A significant number of leading companies with independent intellectual property rights and well-known brands;
3. The number of national-level high-tech enterprises to exceed 500;
4. Form a national leading strategic industry cluster;
5. To be a unique innovation center for the biomedicine industry;
6. Xiamen to become China's top biotech city
