The Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance recently announced the results of the 2019 national government procurement transparency evaluation, which involved 36 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities under separate state, and Xiamen ranked third nationwide with a score of 95.46 points.
"The disclosure of government procurement information is of great significance for protecting the public's right to know, participate and supervise, preventing and curbing corruption, and perfecting the modern financial governance system," said officials from Xiamen Finance Bureau. In recent years, Xiamen has continuously improved the transparency of government procurement from many aspects, such as the building of government procurement information disclosure system, the construction of information release platform, disclosure of affairs, supervision and management, etc.
