Hu Changsheng, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and secretary of CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, together with Xiamen Mayor Zhuang Jiahan, paid a field visit to Xiamen Area of Fujian Pilot Free-trade Zone on its 5th anniversary on April 21, and held the 22nd meeting of the municipal free trade leading group to summary the results of development, analyze the shortcomings, and arrange for and promote the next step of work in the light of the current situation and tasks of epidemic prevention and control in tandem with economic and social development.
Xiamen Area of Fujian Pilot Free-trade Zone has launched a total of 416 innovative measures and 82 national initiatives over the past five years, contributing 13.6% of the regional GDP and 29.6% of foreign trade imports and exports with only 2.5% of the city's land. Hu and Zhuang also visited the Big Data Service Center of Xiamen Area of Fujian Pilot Free-trade Zone to see the free trade area's active use of big data technology to improve the quality and efficiency of various work, and witness the signing of 11 investment promotion projects on the Cloud.
Hu demanded that it is necessary to firmly grasp the core task of institutional innovation, persist in conducting bold attempts, and continue to be a "forerunner" and "experimental field" for deepening reform and opening up, and a "new engine" and "locomotive" for innovation and development, so as to continuously boost the development of Xiamen.
