Following successful hosting of events like the Sudirman Cup and Diamond League, Xiamen will welcome two premier competitions: the 27th Asian Athletics Championships and the 2025 China Table Tennis Club Super League. The 27th Asian Athletics Championships—Asia's premier track and field event held biennially since 1973, typically in odd-numbered years—will take place at Xiamen Egret Stadium in 2027. Additionally, the second stage of the 2025 Table Tennis Super League commences in July at Xiamen Fenghuang Gymnasium, marking the league’s second visit to the city.
