On May 20, power battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's main board, raising HK$35.3 billion (approximately RMB 32.57 billion) in net proceeds—the exchange's biggest offering in four years. Approximately 90% of the funds will advance Phase I and II construction of CATL's Hungary project for global expansion, with 10% allocated to operations and general purposes. CATL has significantly expanded its presence in Xiamen, with projects including Ampace, CATL Xiamen, EVOGO, and CATL Xiamen Research Institute across industrial and fund sectors.
