Multiple new energy key projects in Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries are progressing vigorously and methodically. The National Electrochemical Energy Storage System Construction Project (Phase I), invested by Torch Group, is racing to achieve full structural completion by July. Upon completion, it will be operated by Xiamen Empirical Energy Storage Technology Research Institute, a subsidiary of CATL, with the mission to establish an internationally leading and domestically top-tier R&D, testing, and demonstration platform for energy storage system technologies. Meanwhile, the Zhongneng Ruixin Energy Storage Battery Project (Phase I), a provincial key project developed by China Energy Engineering Group subsidiary Zhongneng Ruixin, targets completion of pile foundation works by late May. Upon operation, the facility will produce energy storage cells, battery modules, and integrated systems for large-scale energy storage plants.
