As China's first comprehensive logistics platform dedicated to the Belt and Road Initiative, the Silk Road Maritime network remains a top choice for foreign trade enterprises. In Q1 2025, its 128 container routes completed 1,098 voyages, handling 1,270,600 TEUs. Since its launch in December 2018, the network has expanded steadily, reaching 18,731 voyages and 22.1 million TEUs across 147 ports in 46 countries and regions as of March 31, 2025. Xiamen Port, a key node on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and one of China's four nationally planned international shipping centers, hosts 61 Silk Road Maritime routes. To date, these routes have completed 12,342 voyages with a throughput of 13.87 million TEUs, solidifying Xiamen's role as a pivotal departure hub.
