Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. and Ethiopia's Belayneh Kindie Group recently held a delivery ceremony in Addis Ababa for 100 pure electric buses, marking East Africa's first large-scale electric public transport operation and a new phase in China-Ethiopia green mobility collaboration. The buses, assembled locally via knocked-down (KD) kits, are equipped with CATL's lithium iron phosphate batteries and Chinese-standard charging infrastructure tailored to Ethiopia's grid. Golden Dragon aims to expand KD projects with Belayneh Kindie Group, advancing "African-manufactured" green mobility solutions. With 900 new-energy buses now operational in Ethiopia, Golden Dragon maintains its market leadership.
