On March 29, ZIM eCommerce Xpress's flagship vessel Colorado departed Xiamen's Hairun Terminal for Los Angeles, carrying 24 forty-ton energy storage containers and 1,680 lithium battery modules in 112 TEUs. This shipment set a record for single-batch exports of forty-ton-class energy storage products from Xiamen Port, marking a milestone in its scaled export capabilities for new energy goods. The "power banks" were produced by Xiamen Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., a local firm ranked among the top three global lithium battery suppliers. The cargo, the company's largest single export batch, utilized ZIM eCommerce Xpress's expedited e-commerce route—one of Xiamen’s fastest shipping channels to the U.S. West Coast, with a transit time of 17–18 days to meet U.S. new energy market demands.
