On February 28, Xiamen Silan Jihong's 8-inch SiC power device chip manufacturing production line project (Phase I) achieved full structural completion. As a significant project at both the provincial and municipal levels, this project has a total investment of 12 billion yuan and will be constructed in two phases. With a phase I investment of 7 billion yuan, the project is anticipated to establish a preliminary line connection by the fourth quarter of this year, commence trial production in the first quarter of next year, and reach an annual production capacity of 420,000 pieces of 8-inch SiC chips upon reaching full operational status. Following the launch of Phase II of production, the annual capacity will increase to 720,000 pieces, making it the leading production line for 8-inch SiC power devices globally. Upon the completion of the project, it will further boost the development of the third-generation semiconductor industry in Xiamen, providing robust support for the city to capitalize on future industrial opportunities and accelerate the growth of new productive forces.
