The key provincial initiative concerning the research and development, as well as the production of Zhongneng Ruixin (Xiamen) 5GWh energy storage battery has progressed to the pre-construction test pile phase, and is anticipated to be completed and operational by 2026. The Phase I project of Zhongneng Ruixin Energy Storage Battery is situated in Tongxiang High-tech City. According to the plan, Zhongneng Ruixin will establish a lithium iron phosphate energy storage cell production base with an annual capacity of 30GWh in Tongxiang High-tech City. The project will be executed in three phases, with the first phase focusing on a 5GWh energy storage battery research and production project. The total construction area will be approximately 290,000 square meters, with a total investment of around 1.9 billion yuan. Key components of the construction include cell production workshops, R&D and trial production workshops, office buildings, and dormitories. Currently, Xiamen is expediting the development of a new energy storage industry innovation hub with international significance, with the goal of establishing a "City of New Energy Industry Innovation".
