On February 25, the cruise ship "ZHAO SHANG YI DUN" originating from Japan, docked at the Xiamen International Cruise Terminal. This cruise ship is the first luxury Chinese-flagged cruise jointly developed by China Merchants Group and Viking Cruises. This is the first time the cruise ship "ZHAO SHANG YI DUN" has operated an international route from Xiamen, carrying approximately 200 passengers from 12 different countries. Among the passengers, nearly 120 benefited from single or mutual visa exemption policies, accounting for over 60% of the total. Additionally, more than 50 passengers applied for visa-free entry as part of foreign tour groups traveling by cruise ship. These diverse visa-free policies help them explore and understand China more effectively. By 2025, several cruise ships, including the "Silver Dawn", "Europa 2", and "ZHAO SHANG YI DUN" have arrived at the port of Xiamen, with over 1,800 inbound and outbound passengers. Xiamen's cruise tourism has entered a "high-frequency" mode.
