On February 10th, China's first cross-border e-commerce air freight route connecting BRICS cities (hereinafter referred to as the "BRICS Route") marked its second anniversary. Xiamen Customs has supervised a total of 474 round-trip flights on the BRICS Route, handling 33,200 tons of import and export goods and facilitating the export of 31.36 million cross-border e-commerce parcels. Since its launch, this air freight route between Xiamen, China, and São Paulo, Brazil has been highly sought after by enterprises. In addition to facilitating the import of fresh products from South America, it has also provided more export opportunities for domestic products to reach South American markets. Compared to previous methods of exporting parcels to South America via other regions, the BRICS Route offers lower logistics costs and faster delivery times, making it the preferred channel for Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises expanding into the Brazilian market.
