In 2024, Xiamen Port continues to expand its shipping routes, adding 11 new international container liner routes, which brings the total to 186. Once again, Xiamen Port has achieved the highest star rating in the cross-border trade business environment assessment for port container services. Also, Xiamen Port has made significant strides in deepening reforms, promoting sea-rail intermodal container transport, ensuring the Xiamen-Kinmen "Three Direct Links" (of trade, travel, and post), and developing cruise tourism. Several of its reform measures have been recognized as national, provincial, and municipal innovations and exemplary practices. In 2025, Xiamen Port will continue its efforts to develop a world-class port. The focus will be on accelerating infrastructure development, optimizing the layout of port functions, enhancing the quality of waterway transport, advancing reform and innovation, promoting smart and green transformations, and strengthening the foundation for safe development.
