To further enhance the convenience of work and life for foreigners in Xiamen, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security launched the first integrated foreign worker work permit and social security card in Fujian Province. Starting in January 2025, foreigners in Xiamen will be able to apply for the card at six designated service points at Bank of China's Xiamen branches. During the launch event on January 2, Luigi D'Apolito, an Italian expert who has won the "Friendship Award" in Fujian, received the first physical card and praised its convenience. In recent years, Xiamen has focused on making it easier for foreign nationals to obtain work permits, implementing multiple measures to create an open, inclusive, and convenient business environment.
