China's first "Cross-Border Direct Return" completed in Xiamen FTZ

On December 24, a batch of cross-border e-commerce return packages from Taipei, China, successfully entered the cross-border e-commerce supervision center at the Haicang Port Bonded Area in Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Xiamen FTZ). This marks the opening of a highly efficient and secure "cross-border direct return" channel at Xiamen Port. According to a representative of the Haicang Park Administration of the Xiamen FTZ Administrative Committee, the launch of the cross-border direct return model with Taiwan provides a solution for the long-standing issue of "difficult export returns" in cross-border e-commerce. It also enhances the shopping experience for consumers in Taiwan and strengthens the competitiveness of mainland e-commerce platforms in the Taiwan market. Moving forward, the Xiamen FTZ will work with Xiamen Customs to further optimize the return mechanism for cross-border e-commerce retail exports, encouraging businesses to improve after-sales services and promoting the growth of the cross-border e-commerce industry.
